ACTIVATING MEDICARE
Your situation will be one of the three below – which one sounds like you?
  • You’re turning 65, activating Medicare and are already collecting Social Security Income. Action: You should receive your Medicare card in the mail 90 days before your 65th birthday. See Step 2 below.
  • You’re turning 65, activating Medicare and NOT yet collecting Social Security Income. Action: You should APPLY for Medicare Parts A and B 90 days before your birth month by calling 1-800-MEDICARE, visiting a Social Security office or going online to www.medicare.gov . See Step 2 below.
  • You’re turning 65, still working, covered by an Employer Group Health plan and wondering if you have to take Medicare now or should hold off. Action: You should call the UNCONFUSER right away to get a FREE, NO OBLIGATION analysis of your situation and an unbiased recommendation of the best option for you.

WHAT’S NEXT? Medicare is a terrific insurance program, but it doesn’t cover everything. Most people add either a Medicare Supplement plan or a Medicare Advantage plan to help cover what Medicare does not. This is where I can help you.

My help doesn’t cost you anything – I get paid by the insurance company you choose to enroll with, and you will pay the same amount for your coverage whether you go through me or go direct to the insurance company. I work with all of the major insurance companies that offer Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage plans in San Diego and all of California.
