Finalizing those out of the country travel plans? Remember, foreign countries do not know who Kaiser, Healthnet, UHC or Aetna are. If you have something happen in a foreign country, your medical plan may cover it subject to limitations and only on a reimbursement basis. You will have to ding your AE, Visa, or MC and file for reimbursement upon your return. However, GeoBlue will pay to have you repatriated if you are critically injured. If you don’t have that, you must get back here on your own. Travel health insurance is very affordable peace of mind.
